Theme/Repertoire: Stephen will present an eclectic program of music on the historic Wm. Schuelke pipe organ. This lenten-themed recital will feature masterworks from several eras and composers, including Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Duruflé with guest trumpeter Dr. Larry Griffin.

Bio: 

A native to Tiffin, Ohio, Stephen is a graduate of the world-renowned Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. At Jacobs, he studied organ with Janette Fishell, as well as choral conducting under Dominick DiOrio and Walter Huff. In addition to his education at Indiana University, Stephen taught as an Associate Instructor of Piano to undergraduate musicians. Furthermore, Stephen served on the faculty for the Jacobs Sacred Music Intensive Conference and Pre-College academies. 

Prior to receiving his Master's in Organ Performance and Sacred Music at Indiana University, Stephen earned his Bachelor's degree from Heidelberg University. He received multiple prizes from the School of Music in performance and musicianship. Besides his music studies, Stephen was a four-year member of the football team as a kicker and punter, earning All-Conference and All-American honors.

Alongside being an international performer, Stephen is an active composer and arranger with a special emphasis on accessible music for choirs and congregations. Stephen is the Director of Sacred Music and Organist of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Powell, Ohio.
